Maple Hollow Nature Art Studio is a home-based art studio created by artist Teresa Rivera. At Maple Hollow, your children can tap into their creativity by learning about and creating art with a focus on nature.
Children are spending less and less time outdoors and studies are finding alarming consequences for this change in childhood behavior. Here at Maple Hollow, we strive to give children the opportunity to spend more time in nature where they can reap the developmental benefits being outside has to offer, while also getting the chance to express themselves artistically. (See article “Why Kids Need to Spend Time in Nature” by Danielle Cohen)
Maple Hollow offers a variety of workshops for children that are formulated to improve their artistic skills and introduce them to new methods of artmaking. From painting to sculpting to printmaking, Maple Hollow has something for everyone.
Maple Hollow also offers workshops and classes for adults. Please see the calendar for upcoming adult events such as Meet & Makes, Paint & Sips, and more.
Meet Teresa Rivera

Hi, I’m Teresa, creator of and art instructor at Maple Hollow Nature Art Studio. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University and have been running art workshops as a youth librarian for the past four years. I’m also a homeschooling mom to a wonderfully creative little girl.
I love hiking, birdwatching, reading, and I love to teach! The boundless creativity of children is very inspiring to me.
